Creating partnerships and increasing communications capacity across the global Church.
Paul wrote, "What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, do; and the God of peace will be with you." Philippians 4:9
A living faith is one that finds expression in every facet of our lives. But today, as you read this sentence and the next, another African child will die from malaria. As a global church, we must find ways to improve the quality of life for those who suffer. In many cases, improving systems for communicating can be enormously important—in fact, it can make the difference between life and death.
Imagine if a storm like Hurricane Katrina was coming and you had no way to warn your family members who lived in New Orleans, and they had no means of getting the information. Such was the case with the tsunami in Asia, and the inability of people to communicate in remote regions of the world costs thousands of lives each day.
A $40 handheld radio can save a life. Information about how to purify water or how to prevent the spread of HIV-Aids can save a life.
Our Foundation is raising funds to build the communications capacity of the church in the Central Conferences, especially in Africa. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $1 million to bring vital, life-saving information to people in remote areas of the world.
